Missing stylesheet file
If you get an error saying that the stylesheet is missing, then you have uploaded the wrong folder. Please check that you are uploading the nevada.zip within the Theme Files folder. You have to unzip the file that you download after purchase.

Helpful Links

If you can't or don't know how to find your purchase code, pleasee follow this link with instructions: Where Is My Purchase Code?

Activating your theme with license key is not required, this option is recommended. Even if your theme is not activated, still you can update it manually. See theme updates section for more information and how to update it.

Setting up the Demo Content

Please, follow the steps below how to deactivate your theme:

Step 1 - Login to your WordPress Admin Dasrdoard

Step 2 - Go to Nevada Theme menu and click on Demo Importer

Step 3 - Choose which demo data you want to import and click on import button.

If you're not sure which demo to import or how it looks like live, click on the preview button and will take you to our live demo preview.

All demo imports takes about 5 minutes for complete installation, but still depends on your internet and hosting server speed. Sometimes it might take longer than 5 minutes to download and import all demo data.

This process will import all layouts on your selected demo, all widgets, theme settings and all demo sliders.

Before importing any of the demo content make sure you have all the plugins installed (if you want your website to download and import all demo data, and look like the demo previews).

Manual WordPress demo importer

If you want to process manual demo import, click on this link.

Error or Problem with importing demo data

If you have problem with demo importer, click on this link.

Most of the images are used only for demo preview, so they are replaced with dummy images.

Step 1 - Log into your WordPress Dashdoard.

Step 2 - Go to Tools > Import. Then click on WordPress ( bottom of the list ).

Step 3 - A window should appear click the Install now button which is on bottom right.

Step 4 - Click Activate plugin & Run Importer. Then choose the content.xml file located in your downloaded theme package > demo data folder.

Step 5 - Click upload file and import. Do not interrupt/cancel the import this process!

Step 5 - Done! Still need to set the Menus, Widgets, Homepage, and manually import sliders.

The import should be run only once. If something goes wrong and you need to import the content again, you may need to reset your WordPress.

We suggest using WordPress reset Plugin. By using this plugin and resering your website, you'll loose any previous work, images, pages, posts, demo imported, menus..etc. But you won't loose any installed theme, plugins or database.

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a while, or it fails with a simple error message like “Import failed,” You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

  • max_execution_time 3600
  • max_input_time 3600
  • memory_limit 256M
  • post_max_size 64M
  • upload_max_filesize 64M
  • max_input_vars 3000

If it's possible, update your PHP version to 7+

After doing this you can reset your wordpress installation with the suggested plugin above, and try to re-import the demo data.

If you still have a problem, your web host may uses process watching software that prevents bulk processing on their web servers.

You can open support ticket on our support page and we'll be happy to help.

Child Theme

Nevada comes with a Child Theme.
Simply install nevada-child.zip like a regular WordPress theme.

What is a Child Theme?

A child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes allow you to modify, or add to the functionality of that parent theme. A child theme is the best, safest, and easiest way to modify an existing theme, whether you want to make a few tiny changes or extensive changes. Instead of modifying the theme files directly, you can create a child theme and override within.

Why use a Child Theme?

If you modify an existing theme and it is updated, your changes will be lost. With a child theme, you can update the parent theme (which might be important for security or functionality) and still keep your changes. It’s a great way to get started if you are just learning WordPress theme development.
